David Jones in Adelaide
Has a super cool place,
meant for children...
But was enough to make me squeal in excitement!

I give you,
The Magic Cave!

How to 'Woo' a Lady

Every girl at least once in their life will have the enchanting experience of a doting boy suddenly reverting back to the movie/fairytale type gestures.
You know it ladies: I'm talking about the good old fashioned Black-and-white romance.

What got me thinking about such a subject?
Well, for the first time ever,
I recieved a bunch of flowers from a boy.
And it made me feel AMAZING! :)

I do not know about the rest of the female world, but for me, right here, right now...
This is my opinion on
How to 'Woo' a Lady.

So,
first thing you should do to woo a lady,

Give her flowers!
Its the perfect combination of thoughtful, sweet and it merely shows her you are quite the gentleman. This should go hand-in-hand with opening doors for her and good ol' chivalry.

secondly,
We went to a super awesome playground, me working the flying fox.

Feeding white boomers :)

I got to hold a Koala! (Gorge Wildlife Park, Adelaide Hills)

Take her on adventures.
Big or small, it will mean alot to her to get to know you in such fun circumstances! Its also especially awesome when you think of an adventure that you know she will especially love (ie: she likes animals? take her to the zoo or something!).

thirdly,

Laugh with Her.
You make her laugh- your winning bro! She'll appreciate you showing her your silly side, and who knows she might just show you hers too!

fourthly,

Hold her Hand.
If the lady is responding particularly well to your gestures, then take a leap, close that gap and hold her hand! I think you'll agree there is nothing quite like having your hand held :) and it is another when that old-fashioned romance takes over and a kiss is laid sweetly on her fingers :)

fifthly,

Make it Personal.
Flowers was a great start, but if you want to really knock her socks off,
Make her something, something from you- show her your talents;
Collect something from a memory or adventure you had together, its beyond thoughtful and sweet.

and finally,

Make Time.
Sure, big gestures and gifts are great, but when she looks back on your time together, it will be the little moments spent in the time you gave to her that will be most treasured.

So thats MY thoughts on How to 'Woo' a Lady!
Id love to hear of any other cool gestures ;)

Whispering Wall

Wednesday, November 16, 2011

South Australia is filled with wonders.
Not many, in the tourist side of life
But when it does have something,
Its pretty awesome!!!

Yesterday, Joshua and I went to a magical place called
'The Whispering Wall'

Information, about the wall, that I didnt read as I was too excited.

And if the name wasnt enough to tickle your fancy,
then the very extraordinary thing you can do there will!

Stand here: talk

This very cool dam, was built in such a fashion, that it achieves the exact thing that the name implies.
Felt silly whispering into the wall all by myself, but then seriously freaked out when I could hear Joshua's whispers perfectly from all the way across the other side of the dam!!

Joshua making the trek to the other side to talk to me :)

Needless to say,
I was pretty darn stoked.

Sooo... Cant really see the little whisp of white that is Joshua whispering to me.

I Draw: Tiger

Exams over...
So I took the chance to draw again.

Work in progress....

Done!

Smell Those Roses.

Saturday, October 15, 2011

Lately, things have been tougher and busier than usual.
Just when life seems the most hectic, always, those breath taking trials come to knock you off your feet a while.

I feel like I've been on the ground more often than not lately.

In the rush of hectic life,
I can recognise my trials for what they are.
I expect lessons to be learned.
Just the same routine
In a rose-less responsibility-driven life.

Though
In light of recent events that have touched so many lives,
Unexpected lessons have been learned,
And ultimately changed my perspectives
In ways that I never dreamed.

Its strange how something so small in your world
But so big in anothers,
Could change your life.

Tears are shed and prayers are offered
Lessons are learnt and strength is gained,
I can feel that hand on my shoulder
and hear the silent and familiar voice encouraging me back to my feet...

Unsignificant moments are suddenly precious
New appreciation for the knowledge I have
Feeling of my Heavenly Fathers love
Sudden motivation to do the things I previously loathed
Desire to hear/read of things that had become a chore to me
Because that's what brings me enjoyment now
Overflowing of Gratitude I had forgotten in the monotone

And best of all,
Im feeling maybe a little bit more brave, peaceful and lucky.

I slow down.
I figure being on the ground is a good way to see the world from a different angle.
And I can suddenly see roses everywhere.

My life seems to be all about smelling those roses now.
Everyday is a good day.

And its all Thanks to someone I barely knew.

Thank You.

Bradbury

So...
By sheer chance
Whilst Google-mapping a place to go...
I stumble across
MY NAME
on the map....

So on Monday...
Sharing the moment with a few of my favourite people...

I visited the township of BRADBURY!!!

So Bradbury turned out essentially just to be a country road with a coule of houses and ONE shop...a decrepit repair shop for boats!! lol!!

I do wonder about the story of the place, whether its actually linked to me somehow,''

But for now...

SO AWESOME!!!

Sleeping Over at Uni.

Monday, September 26, 2011

So last day of school,
the Friday night before the weekend preceding the holidays
Normal teenagers went to parties,
Socializing
Travelling places, even.

While all this merry-making over the sudden freedom from the chains of University and school is going on...
Holed up in the most magical arcitectual learning space Adelaide has ever known...

Was two very bad time-managers.
Both who go by the name of 'Rebekah'.
Having left crucial assignments to the last moment
They were forced to pull the dreaded all nighter camp out,
to complete the assignments that followed them into the holidays.

Killer pythons to keep us alive...

Oh...Phanton of The 'Learning Hub'..

We slept in a pool of FatBoy bean bags... for about two hours after 6am...

So i finished my work and so slowly filled up the wall with origami made from the pages of the Uni's magazine On Dit...

Not all assignments were completed sadly.
